Dave End

If Ricky Vasques, Jordan Catalano and Brian Krakow had a baby.... his name would be Dave End. This acoustic lo-fi troubador writes honesty pop and focuses on the details that rhyme. Tackling subject matters like bullying, homophobia, and heartbreak, Dave End could easily fall into the slippery traps of self-pity and earnestness, but he manages to keep his songs aloft with humor, bounce, and jamboree-style glee. Depressed, fleshy queer teenagers everywhere should heave a sigh of relief! His debut album, How To Hold Your Own Hand, is a revelation of hope and intelligence. In November he moved to Brooklyn to record his second album, Fruits Commonly Mistaken For Vegetables, which will be out sometime in spring 2007.
